Thursday October 01 : Films for young people / Afternoon & evening showings @ BIO Langeland.
Passes to be sold @ low ticket price to the Efterskoles on Langeland and regionally for student participation as afternoon and early evening educational event.
Highlighting both feature and short films produced / directed by Island filmmakers under 21 years old. To include short, facilitated “on stage” Youth film Q&A after each film presented for interaction with students.
2 Evening Feature Films 7:00 PM & 9:00 PM featuring young Island filmmakers (hopefully Danish up and coming young filmmakers as selectors highlight) with ticket sales of 80 to 120 for each film, to both youth and general public / film festival pass holders.
Friday October 02 : Danish & Greenland Island Films / After. & evening showings @ BIO Langelend.
2:00 PM Panel “Roadblocks & Passing lanes for Danish islanders in film.”

Hospitality / Film Festival Opening event @ Bio Langeland / 7:00 PM
- One Hour of Danish / Greenland Island short films in the auditorium 6:30 – 7:30
- Hospitality & drinks in the foyer. 7:30 – 9:30
- 8:00 PM Festival welcome & dignitaries welcomes / presentations
- 8:15 PM / Featured guest speaker / to be confirmed by film

2:00 PM Panel discussion – the future of Island films and filmmaking & the impact of global politics on the current Island filmmaking scene. (240 tickets available and live stream to participant countries – as digital partnership.)

The Langeland International Island Film Festival rises annually to celebrate island stories and island personalities from around the world. Our festival strength will be islander stories with islander strength speaking to themes of islanders bridging challenges that society at large and mainlanders in larger urban communities are struggling with.

Celebration of the Island Spirit
It is a great moment for a breath of fresh, independent, indigenous islander spirit to take hold and grow around the world – and we will support and celebrate this at Langeland International Island Film Festival.
The islander spirit and stories of islander independence plays a counterpoint to the current political heavy-handedness our fragile world is experiencing politically and socially.
