The founder, creator and Director of the Langeland International Island Film Festival, Douglas Tanton brings 25+ years experience building the best in independent film, music & cultural events in Denmark and Internationally.
He matches these experiences leading global non-profit causes as team leader, raising funds, engagement and building lasting partnerships. Past experience include CARE International, Greenpeace International as Chair, Global Investment Fund, Director of Global Engagement & Fundraising and Executive Producer of multiple concerts/recorded music series for GPI. His award winning work in Denmark includes Red Barnet DK as Executive Producer / Creator of the millennial Copenhagen Tivoli Christmas Tree auction concert & programme live and digital in partnership with Danish Royal Family. In Canada, Douglas developed and established the much loved annual Festival of Canadian Film at Confederation Centre / Touring as Director. Douglas splits his time between his home on Langeland and Canada with his Danish partner. |
